SUMMARY
The foundation of Hunter Douglas’s success are the people that keep our operations running. These are the folks on the production floor using custom machinery to transform beautiful fabric into the shade hanging in a customer’s window. There is no single role more important to the success of the business
Manufacturing:
Recognize and follow all safety expectations and report any concerns.
Understand and follow Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
Determine work assignment for shift from manufacturing coordinator, supervisor or available leadership.
Operate manufacturing machinery including slitters, printers, collators, inspection racks etc.
Use needed equipment to assist production activities including hand lift trucks, tools, computers etc.
Identify, communicate and take corrective action and preventative measures to ensure efficient and quality production.
Communicate with other technicians or teammates throughout the shift in order to receive and share information on activities, equipment and materials.
Document daily production information and activities.
Train other Manufacturing Technicians in operations and safety procedures and quality standards.
Warehouse:
Be a resource to any area of warehouse operations to include:
Internal & External Distribution, Shade Shipping, Raw Materials, Receiving, Internal Putaway
Assures all general warehouse processes and procedures are followed. Advises when additional procedures are needed.
Assures while pulling inventory for customer and internal orders, all processes and procedures are followed. Advises when additional procedures are needed.
Communicates status of assigned projects and tasks. Communicates issues and concerns when needed.
Insures work projects assigned, are completed in a timely manner. Serves as an information resource to members of the group in providing direction on the completion of assignments.
Maintains an atmosphere of continuous improvement of work processes and job knowledge areas through adherence to Focus on Excellence philosophies.
Supports and utilizes various coaching and mentoring techniques directed by Supervision to develop new personnel and maintain the motivation of group members.
When called upon, participates and shares in discussions with the warehouse personnel on the status of projects and short term and long-range goals of the department.
Ability to use equipment associated within area certified/ trained in Bar Code scanners, Computer programs etc., spelled out in the training matrix. Available upon request.
Requirements:
Qualifications: Manufacturing experience is a plus! Applicants must be team-oriented and quality focused. Must be able to do basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication & division). Must have good communication skills, both verbal & written. Employees must have a positive attitude demonstrated through work reviews and attendance records. Familiarity with operations based metrics and accountability required. Must be willing to rotate to other areas when business needs dictate. Candidates must have reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements: constant standing, repeated hand, arm, upper body movement - push, pull, reach, bend, and stoop. Some positions may require visual color acuity testing and heavy lifting.

Pay Range & other compensation: Starting at $17.50/hour plus Annual Bonus target 2.5%

Warehouse
