Scope of Position:
- Lead and develop a team of mid-level communication professionals
- Drive quarterly corporate earnings communications process in partnership with finance leadership, investor relations (I/R), and the corporate strategy team
- Research, write, and develop content and video features to support the amplification of Corning’s financial narrative to global employees
- Partner with the CEO Communications team to align key narratives in support of Corning’s financial story
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Development of presentations, scripts, and white papers in support of C-suite leaders
- Identification and oversite of team deliverables
- Process documentation and improvements
- Leadership and implementation of financial communications strategy
Education:
- BA, Journalism, English or Communications; MBA preferred
Required Years and Area of Experience:
- 7+ years experience, preferably in corporate communications, financial journalism, public relations, or communications-related field.
Required Skills:
- Ability to lead, organize, and prioritize
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong writing and editing abilities, including proficiency in Associated Press style
- Capacity to work well under pressure with ability to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines
- Strong change management skills
- Ability to assess priorities and manage many projects simultaneously
- Excellent organizational skills, detailed-oriented
- Self-motivated with a demonstrated work ethic and a commitment to delivering
- Strong business/financial acumen
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Capable of working independently and interdependently
- Confident advocate of new ideas Soft Skills
- Self-motivated to achieve excellence
- Strong interpersonal skills, especially in listening, problem solving, and influencing
- Customer focused
- Ability to work flexible schedules to accommodate changing requirements and different global time zones
