About the Role:
The Manager, Credit will apply Oxford’s credit and collections policies, practices, and procedures in a manner that will result in maximum sales, sound receivables, and their prompt conversion into cash.
  • Assist in the formulation and development of credit policies and practices; interpret- approved policies and assure- conformity. Follow SOX guidelines and maintain proper SOX documentation.
  • Assist in the establishment and achievement of credit department goals.
  • With full authority to apply credit and collection policies including order approval and the establishment of credit limits up to the authorized limit, plan the credit investigation, review assembled files and reports, analyze financial statements, expand the investigation if warranted, and make the credit decision.
  • Plan and maintain a program for the systematic follow up and collection of receivables. Review regularly the status of collections to assure that accounts receivable is in sound condition. Get actively involved in collection of accounts were warranted or when aged over 120 days. Indirectly supervises collectors and their efforts.
  • Arrange for forced collections and the filing of suits. File bankruptcy claims and represent the company on creditor’s committee in bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Plan and maintain a program of systematic research and resolution of customer deductions. Research includes determining root cause and ensuring that Oxford errors are corrected. Authority to write off deductions with individual amounts less than $1,000.

Who we would like to meet:
  • Generally, 8+ years’ experience in credit management
  • Strong network of industry peers is expected with a general knowledge of factoring and trade insurance alternatives.
  • Thorough knowledge of the use and handling of outside collection alternatives
