Maintenance Technician Job at RMS Companies
RMS Companies, a Connecticut based real estate development company, is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to perform day-to-day maintenance on a new portfolio of rental buildings in New Haven, CT.
Responsibilities:
-Respond to tenant requests and handle routine maintenance and janitorial issues, including, but not limited to, residential carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting
-Perform building walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs
-Provide friendly, responsive service to the residents
-Prioritize maintenance requests so building-critical issues and customer requests are dealt with quickly
-Perform checklist walkthroughs and verify of services rendered by subcontractors
-Handle all necessary work for apartment turns including painting, miscellaneous sheetrock and taping, carpet shampooing, miscellaneous repairs
-Rotate being on-call for any emergency calls after hours*
Qualifications:
-Minimum 1 years’ experience in building maintenance (experience and or familiarity with all trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair)
-Ability to read, write and speak English
-Must have a current, valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
-This is a full-time position and candidates will be required to work Monday – Saturday and rotate being on call for any emergencies
