SUMMARY OF JOB
This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on equipment. A high level of mechanical aptitude is a must, as well as ability to troubleshoot a variety of equipment, with minimal direction, demonstrating a high level of diagnostic acumen. Operations equipment includes, but is not limited to, high speed automation equipment in a production environment. The position requires a proactive, innovative and analytical individual who can perform in a fast paced work environment.
MECHANICAL & ELECTRICAL SKILLS
Mastery of:
- Bearings, seals & lubrication
- Mechanical drives, including: belt, chain, gear, shafts, couplings and shaft alignment
- Mechanical timing of equipment
- Pneumatic systems in industrial applications
- Reading equipment diagrams and schematics
- PLC/Controls
- Electrical troubleshooting
EDUCATION
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
EXPERIENCE
- Formal training in one or more of the following: air conditioning, welding, machining, auto repair, electronics or industrial mechanics. Additional years of experience may substitute for training. Must have 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment along with strong mechanical aptitude.
