Maintenance/Production Supervisor Job at Reddy Ice LLC
POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for the operation of manufacturing, processing and the vault. Lead the MP&V
team as they produce and store product. Maintain the plant facilities and equipment to
meet production needs. Meet plant safety, production, quality, and cost goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepare the production schedule for product to be produced. Schedule MP&V
employees to perform the activities necessary to achieve the production schedule.
2. Oversee equipment operation. Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment.
Perform corrective maintenance and repairs on all equipment as necessary.
3. Insure all processes are executed per the SOP.
4. Keep area safe and take corrective actions on any potential safety hazards.
Responsible for safety training and safety meeting requirements.
5. Monitor product quantity and take corrective action on any issues that arise.
6. Meets production goals and objectives as set by management.
7. Orders and maintains parts and equipment inventories.
8. Responsible for departmental expense and labor control.
9. Manages payroll procedures for production department.
10.Collaborate and take direction from the Regional Operations Manager to achieve
company, regional and market objectives.
11.Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Plant Manager.

OPERATING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strong decision making abilities and problem solving skills are required. Must be adaptable and flexible to nonroutine situations with promptness and use of good business judgment a must. Possess initiative and ability to manage employee morale. Must be able to plan production schedules to effectively service customers and reduce overtime and vehicle repair costs. Must be able to manage time efficiently. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Accuracy and strong attention to detail. Ability to work well under pressure and be able to multi-task various responsibilities. This job is diverse and complex due to the number of duties and situations which must be handled.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position will be responsible for the supervision, development, and on-going coaching of all direct reports. This includes training, daily work direction and managing overall objectives. In addition, this position will be responsible for the scheduling, hiring, on-boarding, performance management, corrective action and conflict resolution of all direct reports.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma with the ability to do basic math and complete paperwork. Knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Must have experience in supervising employees, safety training, and conducting preventive maintenance on equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Primary responsibilities are technical and administrative in nature. There are opportunities for manual and mechanical intercessions depending upon the situation. Exposure to slippery floors and temperatures of 30 degrees. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
