ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining park facilities and grounds, including mowing lawns, weed trimming, weed control, trash control, repairing asphalt in public areas, spreading sand, watering dirt roads
- Performs ground care, maintenance, including but not limited to mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, fertilizing, watering, reseeding, maintaining walks, and driveways
- Maintain Park facilities in a clean and orderly condition, including cleaning of maintenance yard, bathrooms, clubhouse, launch ramp, and all general public areas
- Under the direction of the park maintenance supervisor, maintain park equipment including lawn mowers, push mowers, edgers, trimmers, blowers, vacuums, sprayers, chain saws, torch and crack sealer machine
- Use and maintain non powered grounds care equipment including shovels, axes, hose, wheel barrows, saws, trimmers, and hedge clippers
- Report to immediate supervisor any items requiring maintenance and any unusual or unsafe conditions
- Assist the park maintenance supervisor with the operation, maintenance and repair of the sprinkler system
- Assist the park maintenance supervisor with plumbing, carpentry and general labor of the installation/repair of public facilities
- Assist the park maintenance supervisor with park development projects
- Performs other duties as directed by park maintenance supervisor or management
EDUCATION AND HIRE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess high school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Must pass drug/alcohol test
- Working knowledge of common tools and equipment used in park maintenance
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written directions
