Seeking an immediate hire for a Maintenance Tech at a 4- star hotel in Malibu, CA. This is a beautiful beach destination location. Plenty of fresh air and beauty.

POSITION:

Hotel Maintenance Tech

SALARY:

$22-$25/hr. doe

BENEFITS:

HOURS/DAYS:

• Monday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Thursday through Sunday, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM
• 40 hrs./wk. avg.
• Schedule may change.
• Weekends are required.

GENERAL DUTIES:

• Repairs, cleans and does preventive maintenance on all hotel equipment and rooms.
• Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs
• Install and replace basic electrical fixtures, replace light switches, receptacles, and light bulb.
• Repair furniture
• Install, replace, and program televisions
• Perform minor plumbing functions
• Maintain proper functioning of all electrical equipment by replacing worn or broken parts.
• Assist other departments when necessary, with permission from hotel management.
• Responsible for cleaning all condensers on refrigeration equipment.
• Responsible for keeping all vacuum cleaners and maids’ equipment in perfect operating condition.
• Makes daily checks of all burned out bulbs and replace.
• Preventative maintenance for all major drains and sewage lines to prevent stoppage.
• Follow LQA (Leading Quality of Assurance )standards
• Preventative maintenance for pest control including but not limited to heating (baking) and spraying.
• Performs other duties as prescribed by hotel management.

Requirement and Skills:

• Minimum of 1 year of Maintenance experience preferably in hospitality or property management
• Must be over 18 years of age and pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
• Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
• Ability to read and follow directions
• Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
• Must be organized and self-motivated
• Must be able to stand, bend, stretch, and lift, and carry heavy materials
• Spanish speaker is preferred by not required.

DEBERES GENERALES:

• Repara, limpia y da mantenimiento preventivo a todos los equipos y habitaciones del hotel.
• Realizar inspecciones de habitaciones e identificar las necesidades de reparación.
• Instalar y reemplazar accesorios eléctricos básicos, reemplazar interruptores de luz, receptáculos y bombillas.
• Reparación de muebles
• Instalar, reemplazar y programar televisores
• Realizar funciones menores de plomería.
• Mantener el funcionamiento adecuado de todos los equipos eléctricos reemplazando las piezas desgastadas o rotas.
• Ayudar a otros departamentos cuando sea necesario, con permiso de la dirección del hotel.
• Responsable de la limpieza de todos los condensadores de los equipos de refrigeración.
• Responsable de mantener todas las aspiradoras y equipos de limpieza en perfectas condiciones de funcionamiento.
• Realiza controles diarios de todas las bombillas quemadas y las reemplaza.
• Mantenimiento preventivo de todos los desagües principales y líneas de alcantarillado para evitar obstrucciones.
• Siga los estándares LQA (Leading Quality of Assurance)
• Mantenimiento preventivo para el control de plagas, incluidos, entre otros, calentamiento (horneado) y fumigación.
• Realiza otras funciones según lo prescrito por la gerencia del hotel.

Requisitos y Habilidades:

• Mínimo de 1 año de experiencia en mantenimiento, preferiblemente en hotelería o administración de propiedades.
• Debe ser mayor de 18 años y pasar una verificación de antecedentes previa al empleo y un examen de detección de drogas
• Capacidad para realizar tareas con precisión, velocidad y atención al detalle.
• Habilidad para leer y seguir instrucciones.
• Capacidad para mantener la calma en un entorno acelerado.
• Debe ser organizado y auto-motivado
• Debe poder pararse, doblarse, estirarse, levantar y transportar materiales pesados.
• Hablante de español es preferido por no requerido.
