Location: Arvada, CO
I am recruiting for a dynamic and rapidly growing space engineering and hardware development company who supply the commercial aerospace and private space sectors.
Due to continued growth they are looking to recruit for a CNC Machinist / Programmer to join their expanding team.
To succeed in this role you will have an in depth knowledge of the operations of 3, 4 and 5-axis mills. Mori-Seki VMC, Mazak VMC and DMG-Mori DMU 5-axis series are preferable along with knowledge of Fanuc controllers on More-Seki lathes.
This is an excellent role for someone who wants to work within an inclusive, fast paced environment which supplies some of the biggest programs!
To qualify for this role, we require candidates to have the following:
- 10+ years of Hands-on machining experience
- Have thorough understanding of general shop safety practices.
- Must be a self-starter, team player, and work with limited supervision.
- Thorough knowledge of blueprint reading (including GD&T)
- Strong knowledge of CNC controls, including but not limited to 3 & 5-axis machines
- Set up work offsets and tools for CNC mills
- Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls
- Knowledge of tool holders and expendable carbide tooling
- Hold close dimensional tolerances .0002-.002
- Produce consistent quality parts with very low rejection rates by applying appropriate feeds and speeds dependent on materials
- Programming using Mastercam
- Ability to perform your own set-ups
- Familiarity with ISO9001 and AS9100 requirements
- Strong math background
- Ability to perform parts inspection and adhere to quality control standards
- Machining from print/CAD model to finished part daily
- Ability to lift 50lbs x
Beneficial:
- 5+ years of CNC Programming preferred
- Experience in an AS9100 and/or ISO9000 certified production environment
- Experience in aerospace prototype machining
Schedule:
- Monday – Thursday – Days - 10 hour shift
- Overtime available
