Machine Operator- 2nd shift Job at Carpenter Company
The machine operator will be responsible for running a topper line, the VCC, hole punch line, railing saw, or any other piece of equipment in the bedding department. A constant flow of material must be maintained as well as efficient use of materials.
Responsibilities:
•Operate all bedding equipment
•Combine partial packs as material is run
•Print labels and label packs as they are produced
•Use RF gun to scan material into product
•Understand how to read and interpret tape measure
•Read and understand tasking labels and block tags
•Maintain a clean and organized work area
•Navigate through and understand production schedules
Requirements:
•Major duties and responsibilities of the job can be satisfactorily performed with a high school education or GED
•Three months forklift experience
•This position requires moderate math skills
•Multitask
•Understanding how to use a tape measure
•Navigate through computer software
•A minimum of 90 days on the job training to correctly perform these tasks.
