Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of this position is the assistance in maintaining the electronic medical record, existing paper records, and overall organization of the nursing unit.
Duties include, but are not limited to:- Assist in maintaining the electronic and existing paper records
- Assist the EHR Coordinator
- Maintaining documents that are necessary for the facility nurses to have on hand
- Maintaining the overall organization of the nursing unit by answering phones, taking messages; scheduling appointments for residents
- Setting up transportation for appointments
- Making additions to the CNA assignment sheets and on occasion making changes to unit schedules as required (such as charting schedules, weight schedules, etc.).
Required qualifications:
- Be a certified LPN in the State of Florida in good standing.
- Have some working knowledge of Electronic Health Records and other nursing practices.
- Knowledge on the use of personal computers, e-mail accounts, software programs such as Word and Excel and minor office machines such as faxes and copiers.
Desired qualifications:
- Experience in Long-Term Care.
