Eklego is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join a team of nursing professionals working in a direct-hire position at one of our Senior Care clients in Winston-Salem, NC.

Full Time 7pm - 7am (3X12) in Skilled Nursing

Part Time 7pm-7am (1or2X12) in Skilled Nursing

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) administers nursing care in a skilled nursing community under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or another medical supervisor. Provides basic medical care, including changing bandages, administering medication, and collecting specimens. Ensures the health, comfort, and safety of patients by assisting with bathing, feeding, and dressing.

What will I do as an LPN?

• Provides direct resident care in accordance with established plans.
• Maintains ongoing communications with physicians concerning resident care.
• Completes required documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
• Facilitates problem solving and open communications with the nursing staff.
• Ensures compliance with resident rights policies and work with families and other staff, as needed, to resolve grievances.
• Accesses continuing education opportunities appropriate to discipline and responsibilities to maintain clinical competency.
• Adheres to facility policies and procedures and participates in facility quality improvement and safety programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requires:

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) educational program.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing with NC Board of Nursing.
• CPR certified or the ability to become CPR certified.
• Very strong observational and assessment skills with regards to physical/social/spiritual conditions, coupled with ability to discern effective response / treatment.
• Ability to communicate elders' medical needs clearly with team members, resident representatives, and physicians.
