Licensed Plumber Job at Tempo Inc
Summary: Tempo’s Licensed Plumber will assemble, install, maintain and pressure test all pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, drainage, sprinkler, and gas systems according to specifications and plumbing codes. This position will determine sources of plumbing malfunctions and complete repairs as indicated or the work order.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble, install, or repair pipes, fittings, or fixtures of heating, water or drainage systems according to specifications or plumbing codes·
- Provides professional customer satisfaction
- Testing pipes to determine whether systems are working accurately
- Interprets and applies mechanical and structural blueprints to plan plumbing repairs and modifications
- Determine sources of plumbing malfunctions and complete repairs as indicated or according to work orders
- Maintain accurate records on material and labor used
- Performs job as scheduled and within budget
- Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean
- Respond to emergency calls as needed
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
- Operate tools and equipment according to safety procedures
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
- 1-3 years’ experience working under a Master Plumber
- Texas State Journeyman or Tradesman License - current and in good standing
- Ability to diagnose and resolve problems
- Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
- Valid Texas State Driver’s License with a good driving record.
- Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete company specific safety guidelines
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
- Must pass a pre-employment background check/drug screen
- Ability to competently use a variety of gauges, meters, measuring instruments, piping systems, pumps, hoists, rigging equipment, torches, and hand tools.
- Ability to effectively communicate with the customer.
- Ability to work independently, under pressure and without close supervision; willing and able to consistently work the scheduled required by job demands.
- Work a rotating on call nights and weekends when assigned
Physical Qualifications:
- Ability to stand, walk and to climb ladders and attic stairs and to maneuver in attics, basements, and crawl spaces.
- Ability to continually climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
- Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including but not limited to the following: hot, cold, outdoor, indoor, dry, humid, slippery surfaces, heights, and congested areas.
