Licensed Massage Therapist
The Massage Therapist will provide licensed therapeutic massage services to residents served in Wrentham Developmental Center. Massage therapy includes the physical manipulation of muscles to ease contractures or spasms, increase extension, muscle relaxation, and decrease muscle tension. The therapist will also assist in the assessment of range of motion and muscle strength, as well as propose therapy plans for the individuals.

Massage Therapist Job Duties:*
- Provide massage therapy as treatment for medical conditions, injuries, or wellness maintenance.
- Establish treatment goals and monitor progress towards goals, ensuring that the need for massage therapy is identified by a state licensed physical therapist, occupational therapist, or physician.
- Evaluate clients for soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength, and range of motion.
- Provide services and documentation within all required standards and regulations.
- Monitor health and safety issues and advise as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications*:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess a Massachusetts Massage License.
- Associate's degree or higher.

Preferred Qualifications:*
- Enhanced understanding of medical/clinical records, consents, and confidentiality.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple complex tasks or assignments.
- Proficiency in the use of personal computers and software applications.
