Social Worker - Clinical

Description of Work

We are currently accepting applications for multiple Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW) positions. The LCSW is a member of the interdisciplinary Treatment Team, which is responsible for care and treatment of patients admitted to the hospital. Responsibilities include performing biopsychosocial assessments and developing treatment plans with other team members. The LCSW is responsible for working collaboratively to develop a discharge plan with the patient, support system and community resources. This individual is also responsible for providing family and individual interventions, psychosocial education, as well as facilitating therapeutic groups. This individual may work with patients that are legally Incapable To Proceed (ITP), which would include involvement with individual capacity restoration services and liaison work with community legal systems.

* This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.

Recruitment Range: $58,000 - $83,928

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Qualified candidates must document on the application that they clearly possess the following:

  • Master’s degree from an appropriately accredited school of social work
  • Licensure is required from NC SW Certification and Licensure Board
  • Management prefers candidates with the following:
  • Documented knowledge of NC Community Mental Health System
  • Experience in an inpatient psychiatric environment
  • Ability to function as a member of an Interdisciplinary team
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Master’s degree from an appropriately accredited school of social work. Licensure is required from NC SW Certification and Licensure Board.

Necessary Special Qualification Requirements:

One must fulfill all requirements for Licensure in North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as required by the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board.

This position will be subject to pre-employment drug testing and criminal record background checks.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $58,000.00 - $83,928.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate to Morganton: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

  • Master’s degree from an accredited school of social work (Required)
  • LCSW in NC or LCSWA (Required)
