We are seeking a(an) Licensed Cardiovascular Technician for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Job Summary and Qualifications

Prepare, educate and perform a variety of examinations, tests and procedures following established protocol. Monitor patient during examinations and tests and report results to the physician.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:  Provide timely flow of office patients. Assist in the delivery of care under the direction of the physician.  Ability to react in the event of a cardiac emergency.  Prepare patients for examinations and treatments including taking and recording vital signs.  Perform standard EKG procedures by following established protocol.  Prepare exam rooms with needed supplies and equipment.  Assistant with additional testing of patient. Basic knowledge of equipment.  Monitor patients following established protocols.  Assist with scheduling, calls, patient education, under the direction of the physician and/or in coordination with the practice manager.  Assist with office and medical supply maintenance.  Responsible for crash cart supplies. Knowledge of crash cart policies, procedures, medications and equipment.  Assist with clinical duties including basic phone skills and computer skills.  Perform other duties as required.  Must read and understand and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures.  Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct philosophy and Mission and Values Statement.  Adhere to established rules, ethical standards, regulations and laws of the profession.

EDUCATION:  No education requirements

EXPERIENCE:  Minimum of five years’ experience analyzing and reprogramming cardiac pacemaker and AICDs (Biotronik, Boston Scientific, Medtronic, and St. Jude) OR cardiac device technology certification from a recognized device training school.  Experience reviewing and managing remote device transmissions (Carelink, Latitude, and Merlin).

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:  License and/or certification required as according to state regulations  Credentialing for cardiovascular techs is available from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) and the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
