Job Description:

Meet the twenty-first century librarian - a techno-literate, savvy professional who works on the front lines for youth, families, communities and schools.
- Develop an engaging and exciting summer learning program.
- Guide strategic planning with Youth Services co-workers to optimize library services.
- Keep up to date with developments, new trends, and innovations in libraries.
- Form and foster strategic partnerships with representatives of community agencies, organizations, nonprofits and other institutions.
- Establish core programming priorities for youth and family services and assess program quality using feedback for future improvement. This includes reviewing external programs to determine application for use in libraries.
- Manage fiscal resources, including operating budget, grant funds, in-kind contributions.
- Participate in the development of an integrated marketing and communications plans. This includes developing marketing materials and templates to promote various programs and special events.

Work Hours: Typical schedule is Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
**You will occasionally be required to work nights and weekends on other projects.
About You
We realize your time is valuable so please carefully review the required minimum qualifications for the position:
- Master's degree in Library Science from a college or university accredited by the American Library.
- AND two years of experience.
Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five years.

Pay: $50,523.20 – $62,000.00
