SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the HR Shared Services Manager, administers all aspects of Leaves of Absence, Workers’ Compensation, Job Accommodation, Ergonomics and Wellness Programs.

JOB
DUTIES/KNOWLEDGE/JOB PERFORMANCE:
Oversees Workers’ Compensation program, ensuring proper reporting, documentation and management of employee work-related injuries and illnesses.- Oversees Job Accommodation program, implements best practices and ensures policies and procedures are current.
- Works with managers and supervisors to coordinate and monitor return to work program.
- Manages all aspects of employee leaves of absence and disability programs. Facilitates other leave requests, which may include accommodation requests under the ADA.
- Administers other company time-off programs as assigned in accordance with internal policy and applicable laws.
- Drafts and/or recommends revisions to company leave policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Participates in quarterly Workers’ Compensation claims review meetings with carrier team.
- Collaborates with vendors to identify injury prevention opportunities, boost return to work activity and delivery of safety training programs.
- Serves as a member of Workplace Violence or Employee Illness and Injury Safety sub-committee; updates safety-related policies and assists with communications.
- Provides leadership training on Leaves of Absence, Job Accommodations, Workers’ Compensation and Return to Work Program.
- Works with HRIS Specialist to manage reporting metrics and analytics for all leave cases and workers’ compensation claims. Presents reports as requested.
- Schedules employee Ergonomic Evaluations with vendor, reviews ergo reports and recommendations, processes ergo orders and coordinates delivery and installment, shares recommendations with employees and managers and follows up to ensure case resolution.
- Provides the annual OSHA reporting, including completing and/or auditing data entry and posting annual reports in all locations. Works with HR team to ensure accurate maintenance of all OSHA records.
- Works with the Infection Control team to track employee COVID-19 test results and vaccine and booster information, distributes results to employees and managers and updates HR files.
- Serves on HR Wellness Committee; shares ideas for program participation to boost education, researches wellness prize give-a-ways, purchases and stores items, contributes to program communications, sends announcements to prize winners and notifications to payroll on taxable income items.
- Manages HRIS data entry and general administrative support for all leaves of absence, Workers’ Compensation, and job accommodations.
- Responsible for ordering and posting current California labor law posters at each office location. Ensures HR department has current version of employment documents such as unemployment insurance booklets, PDL pamphlets, WC brochures, and benefit supplies and brochures.
- Assists with updating HR sections of SharePoint site with current forms, policies, and announcements.
- Assists HR team with various projects as needed (i.e., Open Enrollment, Audits).
- Performs other duties as required and assigned.
Salary: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00

Work Schedule: M-F, 8:00am-5:00pm - on site Escondido Ca
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors’ degree plus three (3) years of HR experience or equivalent education and business and industry experience required.
- Requires current knowledge and understanding of state and federal leave of absence, Workers’ Compensation and job accommodation laws and policies.
- Two years of human resource experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality in all employment matters.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with employees, leadership, facility sub-contracted service providers, the public, participants and stakeholders, and volunteers.
- Ability to work independently, apply problem solving techniques, and see resolution through to completion.
- Proficiency in all MS Office programs required.
- Knowledge of federal, state and local employment–related regulations required.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills required.
- Strong planning, organization and collaboration skills required.
- Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and communicate delays in a timely manner to those impacted.
