Who We Are Looking For:
Due to our ongoing growth, Woodard & Curran (W&C) is offering a great opportunity to assume a role developing and sustaining our learning and development platform. As the Learning and Development Partner, you will drive the design and implementation of training and development programs centered around leadership and manager effectiveness and soft skills that align with the organization’s most pressing business challenges and talent gaps. (*Note – this role is not about creating training for technical skills needed for specific jobs). You will be responsible for the development of curriculum, communicating learning activities to the organization, delivering remote and in-house training sessions, and administering the learning management system.
The location for this position is flexible across the country and we are open to a fully remote work arrangement.
What Will You Be Doing at Woodard & Curran?
This role collaborates across the business and the Human Resources department to establish a vision for learning and talent development in association with the company’s evolving needs and culture. The ability to design, develop and implement robust learning strategy to drive manager and team performance and behavior effectiveness will be key. To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience in creating sessions that address relational skills topics.
Other responsibilities include:

Working with the Director, HR Solutions, you will design and implement learning and development programs using both traditional and new learning platforms and strategies.

Design and deliver remote and local training sessions using different learning formats and, where appropriate, cooperate with external partners.

Confer with Director, HR Solutions, and management; conduct surveys to identify training needs based on projected processes, changes, and other factors. Provide overall data analysis and conclusions related to evaluations, attendance, instructional design and/or findings; Analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.

Build and expand network of effective and valued trainers and facilitators.

Ensure all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.

Implement or enhance curricula based on changing business needs and industry trends.

Develop and execute training budget and expense tracking.

Provide guidance and tools to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and ensure training meets business needs and development goals.

Build and maintain innovative, user-friendly tools and develop education for both managers and team members.

Analyze the success and effectiveness of training programs and track enrollment data.

Explore the latest trends in learning, new technologies, adult learning principles, and vendors in the marketplace and best practices for implementation.

Maintain internal platform for posting of training information, including videos, articles, and calendar of learning events.

Actively research, learn and navigate new technologies being implemented across the learning industry.

What You Need to Succeed:

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with ability to work in a diverse team setting.

6 years of professional experience in designing, developing, planning, delivering, and assessing comprehensive training programs.

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Training, Communications or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or Training and Development Management experience.

Demonstrated ability to learn and leverage new systems and understand how to put data to use in everyday decision making.

Hands-on experience in applying adult learning theories.

Excellent facilitation skills and confidence presenting in front of audiences of varying sizes.

Passionate about giving employees the development tools required for personal and professional growth and success.

Possess outstanding organizational and project management skills, attention to detail, presentation skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Instructional design knowledge and/or graphic design experience a plus.

Capacity to work collaboratively with a wide variety of staff and cross functional teams.

Willingness to travel as needed. ~40%.
