Lead Pediatric Clinician Job at LOWELL COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER

Under the direction of BHS- the Lead Pediatric Clinician will provide oversight for the licensed clinicians, and other BHS staff that work children. In addition, the Lead Pediatric Clinician will work closely with and support staff and providers in Pediatrics and provide direct clinical services and supports to children ages 0-22.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provide administrative oversight, direction and support for BHS in Pediatrics.
- Become informed about current evidence based models of BH-PC (Pediatric) Integration.
- Work with Pediatric Providers and other Child/Adolescent Center Staff.
- Complete required documentation and ensure completion.
- Provide analysis of data and apply as necessary for program planning.
- Provide training specific for Pediatric Clinicians and other BHS staff.
- Participate in regularly scheduled interdisciplinary team meetings in Behavioral Health and Pediatrics and other collaborative meetings as identified.
- Provide direct clinical services to patients as well as patient’s families in Pediatrics.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Overall oversight of BHS pediatric services.
Qualifications:
- Ability to maintain effective and professional relationships with patients and other members of the care team.
- Strong communication, including oral presentation and writing skills.
- Experience working with a pediatric population from birth to 22y/o.
- Experience with assessment and treatment for common pediatric d/o, including working with children and families presenting with medical and behavioral health concerns.
- Working knowledge of differential diagnosis, using the DSM guide.
- Working knowledge of evidence based treatments and methods used for treatment (e.g., Family Therapy, CBT, Strength Based – Brief Treatment, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of psychopharmacology for common mental health disorders that is within the appropriate scope of practice.

- Bilingual Preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Masters’ Degree and Licensed in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or other closely related degree/license.
- Experience working with a Pediatric population is required, along with having a Clinical Supervisors background.
- Licensure: LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, LADC1
