PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Lead BIA will support, promote and drive implementation of best practices in the areas of business intelligence and healthcare analytics. They will assist with the development of the Business Intelligence (BI) strategy and will be required to supervise and mentor other BI team members to help standardize work processes and understand departmental capacity, and promote innovation in all aspects of the team’s work. He/she will work across Enterprise Analytics Divisions to ensure optimal delivery of BI content.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Creates and maintains documentation for Business Intelligence processes, guidelines, best practices and communications
  • Partners with the Business Intelligence Developer (BID) to validate, build, and test analytical solutions
  • Gathers and documents business requirements
  • Educates data consumers on how to use Analytical solutions
  • Leads process management development for managing new data requests
  • Coordinates operational workgroups with complex data needs
  • Functions in a lead role in data governance program
  • Implements creative project management solutions to drive operational effeciency
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Able to identify and resolve problems quickly and effectively determining root cause and long term solutions while minimizing impacts to the environment and end users.
  • Able to understand and interpret requirements and impacts and needs from initial request through final delivery.
  • Strong ability to analyze user requirements and build front-end BI applications according to specifications
  • Demonstrate competency in Agile and Lean Principles and Methodologies
  • Utilize project management skills to coordinante and facilitate meetings
  • Support service now ticket system as assigned
  • Consults with clients and teammates to identify all facets of an issue and generate a solution. Understands potential impacts to processes and systems across organization and factors these into solutions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical reporting needs

Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson’s clinical entities or at the University. EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in the field of business administration, computer science, and finance, engineering, or information systems required

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

3+ years experience with deep knowledge of Enterprise EMR workflows.

Project management experience preferred.
