Job Summary

SUMMARY:
Maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. The employee would typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, sprinkler installation.
LOCATION:
Smyrna and Norcross
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, detaching, and trimming and edging around flower beds, walks, and walls.
- Mow and edge lawns, using power mowers and edgers.
- Gather and remove litter and debris
- Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
- Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, and other grounds features.
- Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge and brush trimmers, and axes.
- Operate powered equipment such as mowers, twin-axle vehicles, chain-saws, and pruning saws.
- Is responsible to inspect Fire Extinguisher on a monthly basis and all other safety requirements.
- Completes pre-trip inspection reports and other reports to stay in compliance with Company, local, state and federal regulations.
- Supervises other employees under him or her on a regular basis.
- Supervises each property and maintains hours according to the schedule.
- Clocks-in and clocks-out employees under him/her and maintains hours according to budgets.
- Performs other duties by management as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
No Computer skills needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and taste or smell.
