Gibson Grounds, LLC is a fast-growing landscape company looking for a new Landscape Foreman. The organization is searching for a candidate that will help implement a strong team for its growing customer base.

Job Description:

• Will oversee a 2-5 man landscape team
• Knowledgeable of proper work methods and responsible for implementing those methods to all team members
• Operating heavy equipment such as a skid steer, mini ex, compact loader, soil conditioner, etc.
• Ability to drive a work truck and trailer
• Manage equipment maintenance and cleanliness
• Physical labor while working alongside landscape team, working in all types of weather
• Landscape installation, renovation, drainage, and hardscape installation
• Upkeep of established landscapes
• Tree and Shrub planting, pruning, monitoring and maintenance
• Installation and maintenance of flower beds/planters (annual and perennial)
• Drainage systems and retaining walls
• Installation of fabric, sod, rock, mulch, etc.
• Keep work vehicles cleaned and maintained
• Manage workshop organization and cleanliness
• Build and maintain business relationships with clients and strive for great customer service
• Briefs supervisors and makes recommendations on job status, personnel issues, or client concerns
• Collaborates with Yard and Scheduling Manager to maintain assigned equipment and notifies management of needed repairs

Qualifications:

• Must have 3+ years experience in landscaping
• Must have 3+ years experience with heavy equipment operation
• Must have 3+ years experience with leading a team
• Must have valid driver’s license, DOT physical and reliable transportation
• Must have time management and leadership skills
• Experience with excavation STRONGLY preferred
• Horticulture/ Landscape education preferred
• Understanding of plant materials, soil types, irrigation systems, pest control, landscape construction methods
• Experience with excavation
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
• Positive attitude
• Problem solving abilities
• Team-oriented mentality
• Willing to do other various tasks during slow season or bad weather days

Pay:

• $20-25 hr

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
