Full Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Demonstrate exceptional communication skills along with excellent customer service.
• Must be able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another depending on the nature of the need without loss of prioritizing skill, efficiency or composure.
• Perform technical laboratory functions including point of care testing such as strep, flu, mono and COVID-19
• Collect and maintain all patient and business documents while maintaining confidentiality
• Responsible for quality assurance program for compliance with CLIA waived laboratory and patient result trackers
• Report test results following clinic protocols alerting providers and/or Clinical Service Representatives about results.
• Operate office medical equipment
• Ensure quality control in collecting specimens, ensure appropriate sampling and maintain accurate record keeping.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
• Set up, maintain, calibrate, clean, and test sterility of medical laboratory equipment.
• Comply with all laboratory policies and OSHA regulations related to safety, cleanliness and infection control.
• Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT & QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• One-year medical office experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Willingness to travel to surrounding clinics to support

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Required to work 12 hours shifts, weekends and holidays
• Required to sit, walk, reach with hands and arms throughout workday
• Finger dexterity and hand coordination required
• Occasionally required to lift moderate weight (20-40 pounds)
• Specific vision abilities required including close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust or focus
