Journeyman Plumber/Plumbing Inspector Trainee - Lamar, CO - Part-Time
SAFEbuilt has an immediate opening for a a highly skilled Plumbing Inspector. This position offers great opportunity for dynamic, motivated self-starters to work on a variety of assignments. You’ll be a member of our highly respected building department team with a full complement of resources to support you and exciting projects to keep you challenged. Responsibilities:
- Perform field inspections during various stages of construction
- Review plans and specifications for commercial, industrial, and residential projects to ensure compliance with city, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Report violations and maintain files/records
- Perform other related duties as required
Knowledge and Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of local plumbing building codes and current construction procedures and technology.
- Interpretation of codes in the field and ability to provide code compliant solutions
- Must possess the ability to positively interact with the other staff members, the general public, contractors, governmental entities, and other clientele
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management, organization, and attention to detail skills
- Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and a considerable amount of independent judgment
- Skill in prioritizing and executing assignments with limited supervision. Skill in using independent judgment and discretion.
- Ability to work on several tasks simultaneously.
Education/Certification and Experience:
- CO Journeyman/Master Plumber license
- 3 years’ experience as an inspector preferred.
- ICC certifications a plus!
