IT Support Engineer Job at The Reserves Network
Purpose of function:
As an all-round IT support engineer, you are responsible for ensuring that employees can make optimal use their workplace, the IT-Systems and networks and you are involved in providing 1st and 2nd line user support in solving IT issues. You are also responsible for a complete and correct incident administration that you keep up to date with the help of a registration tool. Within this role you are present 50% of the time for local IT on the work floor.
Core Tasks:
- Provide support with the user’s desktop environment, monitors and docking stations.
- Provide support with applications like, Citrix Sharefile, Zoom and standard applications like MS Office and printers.
- Tracking and handling first and second line IT Issues
- Transfer incidents to Global IT, external suppliers and monitor and follow up on progress
- Ordering, reinstalling, configuring and delivery of software and hardware
- Creating and managing User Accounts within the applications
- Installing and keeping applications up to date
- Setting up and support video conferencing
- Guiding and supporting IT projects
- Technical adjustments in the IT Infrastructure
- Drawing up procedures and documentation
- Act as a contact person in consultation in the event of incidents
- In the absence of colleagues, if necessary, will also coordinate the tickets and the daily consultations are part of the tasks
- Eyes and ears for Global IT
Education requirements and job experience:
- Associates degree or equivalent experience * At least 3 years’ experience in IT environment * Knowledge and experience with MS Server 2012, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP VMWare/Hyper-V, RDS, Exchange * Knowledge and experience with MS Windows 7/10, MS Office and SharePoint * Knowledge of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) * Knowledge of computers, servers (Cloud), networks, routers, and switches * Extensive knowledge of IT, both in terms of hardware and software * Microsoft 365 Fundamentals Certification * Knowledge and experience with (application) Virtualization, RES is a plus * Experience with ITIL is a plus.
