This position is based at our Ready Roast location in Madera, CA.

Ready Roast along with Hampton Farms is the leading In-Shell Peanut Company in the US. We are also a leading producer of other types of nuts and nut butters for the retail and commercial markets. Job Purpose

  • The IT Specialist will provide hands-on network and end user support for Ready Roast Nut Co. in Madera CA. As Information Technology Specialist, reporting to the Director of IT, you will provide support for deployment and maintenance of system hardware, operating systems, and applications. Provide organization-wide service request management, service request escalation and day-to-day technical support. Provide analysis and resolution planning for detected issues and seek appropriate resolution to meet the goals of the department or organization. Responsible for performing a variety of technical duties related to system maintenance and operations. Perform research and analysis to provide resolution for technical issues related to the network.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with help desk calls, scheduling, and tickets for internal users
  • Maintain good notes while diligently updating ticketing system
  • Under IT staff guidance, perform computer imaging, staging and installation
  • Troubleshoot problems reported by users
  • Maintain network and system security
  • Analyze and isolate issues
  • Monitor networks to ensure availability to users
  • Evaluate and make recommendations to optimize system's performance
  • Identify user technical needs
  • Administer desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, smartphones, software deployment
  • New user set up / removal of terminated users / Process Review
  • Troubleshooting issues through contact with vendors as needed
  • Telecommunication provisioning and troubleshooting
  • Participating in implementation projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

  • Good working knowledge and experience with basic network infrastructure components, such as switches, routers, and firewall, phones, smartphones, software deployment
  • Excellent troubleshooting proficiency and customer service
  • Strong planning, reporting, and organizational skills
  • May require working nights and weekends
  • Must be legally allowed to work in the U.S.
