Job Description
As an IT Operations Manager at The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority you will receive:

Basic Purpose
The purpose of this position is to direct the network, operations, and service desk functions of the organization. The IT Operations Manager oversees a team that provides complex technical support with the goal of ensuring integrity and reliability of technologies. Manages planned or unplanned maintenance, troubleshooting or root cause analysis, and problem resolution; seeks to minimize downtime or service disruptions. Identifies key performance and capacity metrics and monitors system performance. Responsible for capital planning, budgeting, and vendor selection and management.
Typical Functions
  • Oversees network infrastructure and systems functionality
  • Responsible for Device and Password Management
  • Directs the work of the Network, Operations, and Service Desk Teams.
  • Optimize local networks and servers
  • Implements fiber redundancy, monitoring, and resolve outages
  • Oversee data backup and system security operations
  • Establish IT procedures and standardization to maximize business efficiency
  • Provide guidance to stake holders through the service desk.
Education and Experience
5 years of professional experience in Information Technology Operations; system installation, configuration, and analysis; network and cloud technology, including prior management experience. Bsc/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies
  • Working knowledge of wireless technology, upgrading and patching network equipment, enterprise network monitoring
  • Ability to install and configure networking equipment, perform network analysis and troubleshoot, screen service desk requests for appropriate routing
  • Knowledge of fiber installation and monitoring
  • Knowledge of Vendor/Contract management, building key business relationships
  • Experience with vulnerability management
  • Demonstrated experience of customer service orientation, and strong communication skills to ensure appropriate service delivery
  • Knowledge of data protection operations and legislation
Special Requirements
This position requires the ability to manage multiple projects requiring leadership to liaison between multiple stakeholders.
