IT Coordinator Job at La Pine Community Health Center
Installs, modifies, and makes minor repairs to company computer hardware and software systems, and provides technical advice and support to system users. Work directly with the staff of La Pine Community Health Center (LCHC). Collaborate with health center leadership and users to identify opportunities for efficiencies in health center operations, clinical practice support, and improved health outcomes. Collaborate with vendors as onsite liaisons for all Information Technology requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor, and assign help desk portal and incoming phone calls to department.
- Collaborate with vendors, and advisory workgroups to optimize use of Health Information Technology (HIT) systems through implementation of new Practice Management and Electronic Health Records (EHR) features, technology, and upgrades.
- Manage technical resources working onsite, providing vendors with all the information needed to assist in supporting the end users.
- Work with vendors to assist with set up of equipment for new employees, ensuring proper installation with appropriate software. Complete testing prior to employee start date.
- Identify, assess, and troubleshoot IT environments and equipment issues as they occur.
- Attend appropriate vendor meetings
- Attend reoccurring regulatory and IT trainings on the web and in person.
- Maintain and operate all LCHC IT and audio and visual equipment.
- Provide support to employees as appropriate
- Inventory tracking
- Troubleshooting IT related issues and connecting/disconnecting equipment as appropriate
- Ordering of IT related items and working with contracted IT company to determine equipment needed
- Interacts in a meaningful way with staff, patients, and vendors to help drive solutions
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications
- Minimum three years of technical experience
- Able to identify, assess, and troubleshoot applications and all IT equipment issues
- Current Oregon Driver’s License and proof of automobile insurance
- Must be a self-starter and be able to function with little or no supervision
- Strong technical skills and affinity towards HIT technology
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Certification or professional training in IT or Health IT preferred
- Knowledge of OCHIN EPIC, ZULTYS Zac, and Atlassian JIRA applications
- Knowledge of Windows environments and administration
- Background in web applications and cloud-based services
- Graphics and video abilities
- Knowledge of Crystal Reports, Business Objects, SQL and database systems
- Ethernet Networking and low voltage experience
- FQHC reporting/regulation standards (i.e. UDS, ACO, PCPCH, etc.)
- Purchasing experience for IT equipment, contracts, and services

- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds
Additional Requirements
- Submit to and pass a drug test
- Successfully complete a criminal background check
