Responsible for providing application support for various hospital systems and helping the business implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a project, and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators and partners. They will be tasked defining, analyzing and documenting requirements, documenting processes and user acceptance testing.

Job Specific Responsibilities

Under direct supervision, helps to determine areas for improvement and optimized workflow for existing applications ensuring that the design and build are completed successfully, clearly documented and testing all work effort while leveraging best practices.
Participates in user groups related to assigned application software solutions in order to be aware of the future direction and development of the product.
Participates in the installation/enhancement of assigned systems.
Helps to develop initial training and documentation for end-users and/or other trainers as needed
Works with the Information Security Office to provision/de-provision users in assigned applications.
Performs system manager functions required for continued operation of supported application, such as daily checklists, and month/year-end procedures.
Participates in continuous learning opportunities and seeks opportunities to participate and learn new industry standards.
Communicates status updates of assignments to management in a meaningful and timely fashion.
Assists with incoming tickets and work to resolve issues.
Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Education and Experience

A bachelor’s degree in a technical or medical related field preferred.
Healthcare Industry knowledge/experience a plus

This position requires close interaction with various departments, vendors and outside suppliers to facilitate a quality multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.

Physical Capabilities

Occasionally exerts a small amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull, and move objects. Work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

Environmental/Working Conditions

Hybrid position. Works is a well-lighted, heated, and ventilated building. Hours may vary to accommodate needs of other departments. Many system management functions can only be performed during non-peak hours. Normal work hours are from 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday. Available to adjust work hours as may be needed to accommodate scheduled/unscheduled downtimes and implementations.
