Equity Group Investments (EGI) seeks an Investment Analyst for our Private Equity Investment team. Exceptional candidates must desire a dynamic and fulfilling corporate investing career with direct exposure to a broad range of opportunities, including investing in a variety of public and private situations (e.g., roll-ups, turnarounds, recapitalizations) and investing across the capital structure (e.g., leading LBOs, buying distressed debt) across many different industry verticals. Investment Analyst Responsibilities

  • Review new investment opportunities including risk evaluation
  • Perform financial modeling (LBO) and financial analysis
  • Actively participate in and drive due diligence process when evaluating new investments
  • Provide market research support including an overview of market trends, competitive analysis, and identification of potential acquisition targets
  • Prepare investment committee presentations for various investment opportunities
  • Perform business, financial, and operational analysis across portfolio companies to help influence senior management decision-making
  • Participate in ad hoc special projects and develop long-term strategic initiatives alongside portfolio company executive leadership

Job requirements include but are not limited to:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in finance, business management, engineering, economics, or related field with a competitive GPA
  • One to two years of applicable experience in private equity, investment banking, commercial lending/banking, accounting/transaction services, corporate development/strategy, or management consulting or successful completion of an investment banking internship, culminating with a full-time offer
  • Strong accounting, finance, modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills supported by a high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Solid organizational skills, ability to multi-task, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and drive
  • Proactive thinking with a creative problem-solving approach
  • Desire to work within a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Intellectual curiosity and commitment to professional development
