Inventory Cycle Counter- $20.50/hr Job at Harry & David
The Inventory Cycle Counter is a critical member of our team. This core, year-round positionis responsible for counting components and finished goods inventory, at ground and elevated levels in the warehouse, shipping and production areas. This function serves as both a measure and corrective action for maintaining high inventory record accuracy (99%).
- Routinely cycle count inventory by following Warehouse Management System (WMS) tasks and lists.
- Use RF gun/scanner to input [counting] data into Warehouse Management System.
- Accurately count and verify Handling Unit (HU) quantities and batches.
- “Search and Rescue" lost product.
- OperateForklift, reach lift, and/or stock picker to execute core function of the job.
- Assist in product rotation and retrieval for consolidation to minimize storage needs.
- Works effectively both independently and as a team member.
- Be aware of surroundings for possible safety hazards and alert co-workers and supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Education - High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 6-12 months experience using inventory scanning Radio Frequency (RF) equipment preferable.
- Forklift, reach lift, and/or stock picker experience required.
- Basic counting and math skills required (able to count accurately as well as add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words.
- Basic clerical skills required (reading, writing, typing and spelling).
