The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of perpetual inventory transaction activities and reporting systems for Finished Goods product. The Manager shall coordinate, direct and ensure reconciliation of SOX compliant cycle count programs for the Supply Chain controlled Distribution Centers. Additionally, the Manager is responsible for Inventory systems security and software access, data base maintenance, and specific system applications.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Reviews and approves perpetual inventory transactions including transfers and adjustments.
- Coordinates cycle count/physical inventory programs to include initiation and reconciliation of all applicable reporting.
- Receives internal/external auditors and prepares, reviews, and submits audit requests for all applicable DCs to said internal and external audit teams.
- Responsible for oversight of metric and status reporting of ancillary DCs as applicable.
- Interfaces with Product Engineers, Marketing, Finance, Regulatory and other Supply Chain colleagues to support successful product introductions, launches and withdrawals.
- Responsible for the departmental budget.
- Application coordinator for ERP systems; JD Edwards, SAP, ZDCS, and Exacta.
- Responsible for the daily departmental functions including, but not limited to: Inventory audits, discrepancy reconciliation, preparation of shipments, inventory movements, return of products, interplant transfers, disposition of expired, obsolete, damaged, etc. product, and projects.
- Leads, guides, and trains employees in Inventory functions and tasks.
- Insures appropriate training of employees in the areas of GMP, EHS, and Quality Systems.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations.

- Makes timely decisions in the best interest of the company and is willing to make decisions in uncertain conditions.
- Strong analytical skills to uncover root causes and implement long term solutions.
Education/Experience Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management or other technical field is required.
- A minimum of 6 years in Distribution, Logistics, Supply Chain, or other relevant environment is required; experience in Supply Chain Management preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of management experience in Inventory Control or a related field is required.
- Advance knowledge of distribution, inventory and business systems is required.
- Extensive knowledge and proficiency with multiple software and mainframe applications, using Microsoft Office Suite, SQL and statistical analysis is required.
- Experience in validation testing is strongly preferred.
- Medical Device or other regulated environment experience is strongly preferred.
Travel Requirements
- Ability to travel within US (primarily), EU, Asia, indication 15-20% of the time depending on projects and need
