Summary:
Powin is actively looking for an RMA Inventory and Material Specialist for the Return Material Authorization (RMA) program. This is a hands-on working role, and you will have the opportunity to play a key role in building out and maintaining the RMA and EMS inventory and storage systems.
In this position, you will lead in performing initial triage, storage, inventory, and minor physical repairs of new and used electronic components that are returned from the field. Additional duties will include collaborating and providing feedback to the RMA team and other Powin employees to streamline and improve inventory, movement, and shipping of electronics components.
Job Details:
- Partner with the RMA and QA teams, collect and use data to determine min/max quantities of electronics parts required in storage to support the Field Services Team
- Manage the physical RMA/EMS inventory for accuracy against software-based inventory system
- Perform regular internal inventory audits and provide accuracy reports to operations and warehouse manager
- Develop workflow cadence, perform physical movement, and prepare electronics components for shipping at the Tualatin Warehouse locations
- Unpack inbound components and remove/dispose of packing materials as needed
- Perform minor repairs on de-energized electrical components under the supervision of the RMA/EMS engineer and RMA program manager
- Partner with the EHSS/OPS team to assist in on-site electronics parts recycling programs
- Occasional attendance at meetings with team members and other departments
- Tag, label, and triage inbound and outbound electronics components in preparation for additional testing and repairs
- Perform daily safety walks for your area of ownership and recommend repairs/maintenance of systems and equipment to operations manager as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, associate degree is preferred with experience in electronics componentry
- Ability to travel 1-2 times a week between warehouse locations
- 2 years of relevant work experience in an industrial manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse operation setting
- Knowledge and experience working with and around electronics parts, hand tools, and lift equipment
- Excellent time-management skills and commitment to meeting deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate professionally in writing
- Ability to take feedback and immediately apply it towards process improvement
- Experience working with warehouse inventory management systems both physical and software based
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and accuracy of systems under your ownership
- Proficient in using and communicating through basic office software programs including MS Office Suite, MS Teams, Slack
- Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs. at working height with no assistance
- Hands-on position and willing to work on-site. 50% of work will be stationary, 50% will require you to be on your feet
- Familiarity using basic hand tools
- Basic warehouse forklift training and certification required, but can be provided upon hire
