Intune / MECM Associate Manager (hybrid role in Rochester, NY)

Job summary:

Next Generation, Inc, an Equal Opportunity Employer, is looking for an independent contractor to join our team for a minimum of 18 months to support the day-to-day activities of handling Intune Infrastructure. This position will be hybrid, 50% on site and 50% remote.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the effective support and delivery of system tools (SCCM, Intune) to support the transition to Windows 10
  • Hand on expert in Imaging and packaging processes and work on new device certification process.
  • Work with security vendors for end user workstation compliance issues ( crowdstrike, Umbrella, Tenable, EPM etc.)
  • Primarily ownership of the EUC ticket queue, providing 3rd line technical support for IT incidents and problems. Working alongside vendors as appropriate to investigate solutions. Tickets are to be owned until successful resolution. May include escalation management to third party vendors, including Microsoft Premier Support.
  • Patch Management and Windows 10 Servicing.
  • Problem-solving abilities and excellent communication, customer handling and inter‐personal skills
  • Ability to work with customers in an advisory capacity around Modern Workplace, helping them to create their workplace strategy, with activities/tasks such as creating roadmaps and business cases
  • Ability to scope, plan and deliver projects to an agreed set of business requirements, cost, timescale and quality parameters
  • Ability to effectively team with peers in a large, matrixed organization, including experience with onshore, near-shore and off-shore delivery teams
  • Engagement with Project team for SOP, RACI, SRT, SOP type document creation and KT process

Job Requirements:

· Strong understanding in BYOD and COD, WCD (Configuration Designer), Autopilot, Auto-Enrolment, Auto-Enrol with GPO via AAD or ADFS, Autopilot Hybrid, Dual management with Intune and SCCM

· Device Compliance - Rules and policies to remediate devices to comply per organizations security requirements with comply evaluation.

· Configuration Profile - Config/Resource profiles for EAS mail along with Device restrictions, Devices features, Custom scripts.

· Good understanding in App Deployment - Application deployment across different platforms with file types - APK, IPA, APPX, APPXBUNDLE, MSI, EXE, WIN32, PKG and Intune mac.

· Upload, Deploy and Configure VPP, LOB, OEM Store applications (Microsoft, Apple and Google)

· Good understanding in Conditional Access and DLP policies for organization or tenant wide security. Exchange connector for Hosted, In-Cloud and On-Prem exchange.

· Good hands-on experience in SCCM- Creating or editing security groups, application deployments (collections, advertisements and task sequences), patch management, general troubleshooting, log analysis.

· Deploying software updates to the client machines and channelizing updates.

· Configuring and deploying VPN profile, Email profile and Wi-Fi profile.

· Strong understanding of Windows Active Directory / Certificate Management / Windows Server Management

· Integration with third party tools such as Jamf, TeamViewer lookout etc. for enhance level of security and compliance reporting.

· Understanding of Azure VDI Infrastructure in collaboration VMware cloud for horizon or WVD.

· Configuring NDES and SCEP based deployments in collaboration with Intune.

· Deploying software and applications to enrolled devices

· Configuring app and location based conditional access policies

· Deployment of EMS across medium large enterprises or global deployments

· Implementation, Upgradation and Migration of SCCM to the latest CU or current branch and pack from existing one Administrating of SCCM Infrastructure, ADAPTIVA

· Software Updates Patch Activity, OSD Deployment, MDT , SCCM server administration, Application Package Deployment

· Support to SCCM infrastructure servers. (DP, MP, SUP, WSUS ..)

· Providing support on troubleshooting of SCCM client related problems.

· Deploying software packages using SCCM without user intervention, without giving pop-up to users and system reboot etc.

· Create, Maintain, Update, Deploy and Delete policies.

· Configuration policies like Device restrictions, Wi-Fi profile, domain join profile etc Compliance Policies

· iOS, Android and Windows, Device Life Cycle

· Enrollment process of endpoints (iOS, Windows 10 and Android). Retire and Wipe Devices.

· Ability to work independently and make decisions with little direct supervision

· Good interpersonal communication and customer service skills are needed in order to work successfully with customers in high stress and or ambiguous situations

· Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Engineering / Computer Science

· Experience in providing voice based Technical Support is desirable

· Experience of working with global customers is an asset
