General Description
Assists Sales Manager, Account Executive and Sales Representatives of Popular Insurance’s Direct Business Team to facilitate new customer sales and enable the team or department to focus on client selling and servicing. Conduct sales activities to gather data and to drive business to the business channel, including in person or phone interviews with clients and prospective clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Sales (65%)
  • Confidently build effective, trust-based relationships with clients by listening and uncovering their needs to gain in-depth knowledge of client’s property and casualty needs and advise on the most appropriate coverage for their situation. Explain policy insurance terms and conditions as required. Identify, analyze, and upsell insurance coverages to round up account based on client needs.
  • Negotiates with insurance company (third party) terms, conditions, coverage limits and pricing for potential customers.
  • Handle daily inbound and outbound calls of prospects and policyholders to secure new business opportunities for the sales portfolio.
  • Collect, analyze, secure and document all necessary documentation for the successful issuance of a customer policy.
Service (35%)
  • Lead the insurance portfolio retention efforts and renewal process to maintain book of business within established goal retention KPI.
  • Evaluates renewal policy type and proactively requests to diverse third party entities (insurance carriers or agencies) the issuance of policies, endorsements, payment letters, certificate of insurance, vouchers, that each particular customer renewal requires.
  • Review documents issued by insurance companies to ensure all processes are in compliance with guidelines.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate information of each client in AMS360 as well in our digital filing system.
  • Other responsibilities that may be assigned including special projects.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree
Experience

2-4 years of experience in insurance industry preferably.
P&C License – required

  • AMS 360 general knowledge preferred but not required.
