  Provide ongoing support for Splunk Universal Forwarder on Linux and Windows endpoints.
• Maintain Splunk infrastructure in distributed, clustered environment, to include maintaining search heads, indexers, and forwarders.
• Onboard new data sources into Splunk spanning security, performance, and operational data sources via combination of forwarder, scripted inputs, and TCP/UDP inputs.
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance dashboard performance, accelerate queries/searches, improve correlations, etc.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Support the Design and implementation of centralized and Dual Logging Capabilities
• Support CAOC-X System Administration team as a Senior Member. Provide training and augment CORE team requirements as needed.

• Active Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or relevant field with 5 years of experience or High School and 9 years of experience
• Working knowledge of Windows clients and Server Administration, Linux Administration, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, as well as virtual technologies.
• Working knowledge of communication security (COMSEC) policies and integration.
• Physical and Virtual secure LAN/WAN transport technologies (Taclanes, VPNs, IPSEC Tunnels, GRE, Guards, etc)
• Extensive knowledge of DoD policy as it applies to implementing and executing system and network administration.
• Experience implementing the Risk Management Framework to information system environments.
• IAT II certification or higher (Security+, CND, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP)
• 2+ years prior relevant experience; including hands on Splunk, SolarWinds, and/or Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager experience in a DoD environment.

• DoD 8140.01 Compliant: IAT II (CompTia Security +)
