Academic and career advising will be a responsibility associated with this position. In addition, the hire will be involved in curriculum development, program growth, program assessment and working with an advisory board. Academic responsibilities will also include serving on campus committees, involvement in campus activities and serving as an ambassador and collegiate member of the College of Technical Sciences.

Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Diesel Technology (or in a related field),
- Industry experience in the diesel technology field,
- Demonstrated recent industry work experience with a strong background in electrical/electronics, hydraulics, brakes, suspensions, automatic transmissions, engines, and powertrains in the diesel/heavy equipment or agriculture industry.
- Demonstrated experience with engine fuel systems (gas, diesel & alternative).
- Master’s Degree in related field.
- Note: Master’s degree will be required for tenure.
- Excellence in written and oral communication,
- Demonstrated strength in interpersonal skills and attributes,
- Experience and willingness to embrace new technologies.
Typical office environment. Office space and lab space may be in separate buildings.

Title IX Coordinator
The Title IX Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the University’s compliance with federal and state discrimination and harassment laws, including Title IX.
