Santa Cruz Animal Health has an immediate opening for an entry level Inside/Retail Sales Representative in the Animal Health department at its Paso Robles, CA location. This is a full time position with career advancement opportunities within the company.

Santa Cruz Animal Health (SCAH) is a division of Santa Cruz Biotechnology, Inc. and it is rapidly expanding its Animal Health Sales team. SCAH is a leader in the distribution and development of Veterinary and Animal Health Care Products and offers a wide range of products for the optimal care of performance horses, livestock and companion animals.

SCAH also produces and distributes its own brand name product line of UltraCruz® Animal Health Supplements. Santa Cruz Biotechnology, Inc. is a world leader in the biomedical research market specializing in the development of research antibodies, biochemicals, and labware, in addition to its animal health care products.

Required Skills:

• Ability to work independently to achieve sales growth for the Santa Cruz Animal Health product line in the U.S.A.
• Ability to interact well with customers in retail setting, being professional and courteous.
• Ability to professionally receive inbound customer calls, chats and emails regarding orders and technical questions.
• Assist with pharmacy customers.
• Ability to communicate accurate information regarding products, prices, product availability, and current promotions to customers.
• Ability to enter orders into computer system from customers in a timely, accurate manner.
• Ability to work as an effective team player to ensure the highest level of efficiency and success for the department and company.
• Maintain and organize retail store products.
• Excellent business communications skills (verbal, written, presentation), organizational skills and computer skills.
• Capacity to monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing customers and leads for new audiences.
• Available to work Monday through Friday, some Saturdays and holidays.
• Animal Science degree required.

Desired Skills:

• Strong computer skills.
• Knowledge and experience with Livestock/Small Animal Health Care and maintenance preferred.
• Experience in sales or customer service.
• Familiarity with a wide variety of animal health products.
• Actively involved and familiar with the livestock industry.
• Use social media marketing strategies focusing on Twitter and Facebook and also other social media platforms, including Instagram, Pinterest, SnapChat, Vine, LinkedIn, Google+, and YouTube.
