Position Overview:

The IT Manager will have overall day-to-day responsibility for management of the company’s technology stack. This position will ensure all employees have the necessary technology infrastructure to perform their daily tasks. The IT Manager will work closely with the Head of Technology and Operations in support of strategic initiatives for the organization.

The position will be based out of our Yorktown campus with travel to our Patterson campus as required. Monday-Friday with hours 9am – 5pm; nights and weekends as needed

Key Responsibilitie:

• Responsible for the day-to-day operation of all IT related equipment, including SaaS, endpoints, servers and networks to ensure maximum access to users, both on site and remote, with a minimum of disruption.
• Ability to “roll up one’s sleeves” and assist in daily support of workstations, servers, networking equipment, mobile devices, copiers and telephone equipment.
• Build strong vendor relationships. Leverage those relationships to maximize purchasing/leasing power including but not limited to computers, peripherals, cell phones, copy machines and telephone systems for multiple locations.
• Plan, implement and oversee all aspects of system maintenance, upgrades and enhancements.
• Ensure maintenance of highest-level security for access and data, including data backup, endpoint protection, contingency and disaster planning.
• Make recommendations regarding system upgrades, software/hardware acquisitions, capacity planning, capital projects, etc. Maintain budget integrity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 5+ years of increasing responsibility in user support, project management, system analysis and development
• Must be physically able to lift and carry computer equipment of up to 30 pounds
• Proven hands-on experience with desktop, mobile and network applications, Windows, Mac OS, Office 365, iOS, Android, Meraki.
• Salesforce experience highly a plus
• Ability to manage a server environment containing Windows Servers, Active Directory, AWS, VMware and Hyper-V.
• Understanding of networking switches, routers and firewalls, Meraki technology.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure
• Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to remain calm in emergency situations and deal tactfully with end users
• Analytical thinker with superior problem-solving skills
• Must be available for evening and weekend work as needed in response to the needs of the systems being supported
• Must be comfortable around large, active dogs

Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination Status

Guiding Eyes requires all new hires to be fully vaccinated for at least two weeks before commencing work. New hires are required to present proof of their vaccinated status, such as their CDC Covid-19 Vaccination Record Card or an official immunization record from the jurisdiction, state, or country where the vaccine was administered; or a New York State Excelsior Pass, or a New York City COVID Safe Pass.

Pay: $75,000.00 per year
