The successful candidate will assist the 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing (350 SWW), at Eglin AFB, Florida. The 350 SWW is the technical focal point for all electronic warfare (EW) support of warfighter systems for the Combat Air Forces (CAF). The mission of the 350 SWW is to develop and test mission data (MD) to defeat enemy radar and infrared guided missile systems, thus enhancing aircrew and aircraft survivability in combat. This mission includes operational EW testing, MD development/validation/verification, force development evaluation execution and facilitating foreign materiel exploitation.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Assists Information Assurance Officer with hands-on management of the unit's Cyber Security requirements.
  • Review, prepare, and update AIS accreditation packages.
  • Coordinate changes or modifications to hardware, software, or firmware with the Program Management office (PMO) and organizational Program Managers (PMs).
  • Notify customers when changes occur that might affect AIS accreditation/certification.
  • Perform AIS self-inspections, identify AIS vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures.
  • Initiate requests for temporary and permanent exceptions, deviations, or waivers to PMO requirements or criteria.



Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience. 6 years (or an Associate’s Degree + 4 yrs) of work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with access to SCI and SAPs within 6-9 months.
  • Certification: Must meet position and certification requirements outlined in DOD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level 2. (i.e., Security + CE certification), CASP or CAP. CISSP desirable.
  • An in-depth knowledge of information systems (IS) supporting special access program (SAP) networks.
  • Skilled implementation of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) security control guidance to build Security Control Traceability Matrix (SCTM) and assessed the vulnerability of various operating systems within the physical operating environment.
  • Detailed involvement in developing and executing Plan of Actions and Milestone (POA&Ms) for each IS.
  • The ability to manage the 350 SWW cyber security program.
  • Knowledge of IS security concepts, principles, and practices.
  • Knowledge of required Collateral, SAP and sensitive compartmented information (SCI) security procedures.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced working with LINUX Operating System and Window OS.
  • Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
  • Ability to plan and organize work to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge and experience executing Risk Management Framework (RMF) principles and organizational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity and availability, authentication, non-repudiation); knowledge and experience executing systems diagnostic tools (i.e. STIG, SCAP, ACAS, and JSIG requirements) and fault identification techniques; vulnerability scanning; knowledge of incident response and handling methodologies; knowledge of basic system administration and operating system hardening techniques; knowledge of DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides.
