GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Industrial engineer will apply mathematical calculations to improve PMW manufacturing processes and production standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has the following job duties and responsibilities:
Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.
Communicate with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards.
Review engineering specifications and job orders to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities.
Develop and prepare contract manufacturing quotes in cooperation with Sales Manager.
Work with Design Engineering and Production members to identify and construct production aids and fixtures to improve the efficiency and quality of PMW products.
Identify capital equipment projects and calculate expected payback.
Support LEAN projects with ideas for improved material handling and storage.
REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, TRAINING AND WORK EXPERIENCE
This position requires the following education, training and/or work experience:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.
Technical training and experience of 5 years or more in manufacturing and/or industrial environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The position has the following physical requirements:
Must be able to lift up to and including 40#.
Must be able to sit, stand, climb, bend, turn, twist
Must be able to wear steel-toed boots/shoes daily; OSHA-approved safety glasses with side shields required
Other PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as needed
Stand or walk 90% and sit 10% of the work day.
Work on a computer 40% and on a phone 20% of the work day.
