POSITION PURPOSE

  • A Human Resources Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of essential functions which may include, but are not limited to: screening and routing applications; scheduling interviews; maintaining/updating licensure and various databases and logs; assisting in the day-to-day administration of the benefits and compensation duties and responsibilities; and performing other duties/projects as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • Associate Degree: Human Resources or equivalent.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 1 to 3 years

  • N/A

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Knowledge and experience with various computer programs/software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), HRIS, time recording system, online training and appraisal system, online applicant tracking system and the Internet are desired.
  • The physical, technical and cognitive ability to operate the following office equipment: photocopier, computer, fax, digital camera and calculator.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, hear and comprehend the English language.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Coordinates and edits training modules. Processes feeds that update employee status and provides employees access to the training and appraisal system.
  • Pre-screens and routes potential candidates.
  • Schedules and coordinates interviews, meetings and events.
  • Provides support in areas of recruitment events, advertising and other assigned duties.
  • Accurately updates and maintains licensure and certification requirements for Froedtert South employees.
  • Presents New Employee Orientation.
  • Responsible for the administration of the eligibility paperwork for the insurance plans offered to the employees of Froedtert South.
  • Partners with insurance plan vendors and third party administrators (TPAs) to assist with eligibility issues and/or claims issues as they arise.
  • Acts as a liaison for the Froedtert South insurance plans assisting employees and leadership staff with questions regarding eligibility, benefit coverage and other items as they arise.
  • Assists the Benefits and Compensation Manager with special projects related to the benefits and compensation programs.
  • Acts as a liaison with the Human Resource team as an informational resource for applicants, staff, management, callers and visitors. Provides clerical and administrative support. #cb
