Join this exciting and growing entertainment company as the HR Manager reporting directly to the CFO. Position can be virtually located in NY, NJ, or CT. This position is responsible for the following functional duties: Benefits Administration; Employee Relations; Performance Management; Onboarding; Policy Implementation; Recruitment/Employment; Affirmative Action and Employment Law Compliance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Administers the new hire and termination paperwork through PAYCOM HR system; COBRA administration; worker's compensation administration; safety administration.
  • Responsible for benefits administration.
  • Administers human resource matters for all personnel which includes personnel policies and procedures, the Employee Handbook, and the Policies and Procedures manual.
  • Serves as Applicant Tracking System Administrator and manages recruiting website postings for store resource needs
  • Update job descriptions.
  • Processes unemployment claims and attends all phone hearings.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations (ADA, FMLA etc.).
  • Administers the company compensation program; support managers by monitoring and providing constructive guidance in the performance evaluation program.
  • Handles employee relations counseling, investigations, and exit interviewing.
  • Participates in weekly store conference calls and conducts periodic on-site meetings at other locations.
  • Maintains the employee directory and completes all transactions in Paycom, including, hiring candidates, title changes, position changes, compensation changes etc.
  • Partner with the respective teams to ensure the company is properly represented at all unemployment claims of impacted employees.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree is required in Business Administration, Human Resources, or Organizational Development or a related field with minimum of 2 years of human resources experience.
  • Working knowledge with experience using PAYCOM and proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Maintains a high degree of discretion, confidentiality, initiative and professionalism regarding all personnel and other business information
  • Working knowledge of employment laws.
  • Ability to independently draft policies, procedures, and various employment-related communications.
  • Ability to collaborate with the management team both individually and in groups.
  • Must be able to work with high degree of organization, accuracy and attention to detail and be proficient in multi-tasking and setting priorities.
