Hanes Companies, Inc., a division of Leggett & Platt (NYSE: LEG), is seeking a Human Resources Management Trainee. This position will be located in Conover, NC. This position is actively present and engaged on the plant floor. This requires a significant time commitment to being present, developing rapport, and understanding the jobs and functions that exist within the facility.

This strategic HR role is a great entry level opportunity for someone to learn our business and match their skill set with career growth opportunities in mind. You will work directly with key management personnel to learn the business and will make business decisions that will influence the company’s overall performance.

With over 50 locations in North America, Hanes Companies is a leading distributor and converter of industrial textiles, environmentally friendly geosynthetics, erosion control, and stabilization products used in the construction industry that helps preserve the environment.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Recruiting hourly and salary positions.
  • Conducting employee orientations.
  • Provide support to employees on various HR-related topics including FMLA, workers compensation, and employee benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations.


Requirements:

  • Qualified candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a desire to assist employees in a professional and confident manner.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Management with a Human Resources concentration; or a business-related field of study is required.
