Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive office and administrative support to day-to-day operations of human resources while working within the limits of standard or accepted practices.
  • Perform or assist with any operations to maintain workflow, and meet schedules and quality requirements for the Human Resources Department.
  • Build and maintain relationships with temp agencies.
  • Assist with new hire orientation for temporary employees and open enrollment changes.
  • File, archive and organize all employee HR files and records as needed to ensure required documentation is on file.
  • Maintain consistent communication with the Payroll and Benefits departments to ensure all records, including invoicing and PRQs, are managed correctly.
  • Enter data for new hire orientation into SAP and schedule 30-day follow-up for new hires and temps.
  • Coordinate calls, schedule applicants for interviews and facilitate drug testing, background check, workkeys testing, mailing letters to interviewees, scheduling new hire employee orientation, etc.
  • Help coordinate community events and support efforts to enhance employee engagement and handle communications arranging internal and external events for holiday parties, office meetings, safety meetings, etc.
  • Track and manage referral bonuses, safety shoe & safety glasses allowance, jury duty, and badge replacement.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Always conducts business with the highest standard of professional, and ethical conduct.
  • Performs backup for other areas of HR, including acting as a backup for the Receptionist, as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • An associate's degree is preferred; and/or one (1) to three (3) years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to maintain a level of confidentiality with corporate information.
  • Must possess basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • ADP and SAP experience is a plus.
  • Must have good time management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Must have the ability to work independently as well as be a strong team player.
