POSITION SUMMARY: Provide administrative support to the Human Resources function.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer payroll for hourly employees.
  • Assist with production staffing processes to include internal posting process, recruitment, interviewing, and separation.
  • Coordinate the hourly new hire orientation process to include preparing materials, supplies, and presentations. Responsible for facilitating HR content during orientation.
  • Data entry and reporting of absenteeism for hourly employees.
  • Maintain hourly employee files electronically and organize hard copy in personnel files.
  • Administer data process of training records into training database.
  • Translate written work instructions, company postings, presentations, etc. from English to Spanish.
  • Assist with special facility events by coordinating activities, committee participation and scheduling.
  • Coordination of benefit enrollment and payroll paperwork for new hires.
  • Assist with employee relations issues, including Spanish/English verbal translation.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. All job functions to be completed in compliance with federal, state, local regulations, company guidelines and policies.

REPORTS TO: HR Manager

REQUIREMENTS / EDUCATION LEVEL: Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or related field. Fluent Spanish/English bilingual skills (verbal/written).

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Preferred: Minimum of two years in a role with HR and payroll job responsibilities. Experience working in a union manufacturing environment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, plan and organize projects with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
  • Ability in maintaining sensitive and confidential information.
  • Proficiency using software programs such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Workforce, HCM SAP, or similar data base structures.
  • Skilled in providing customer service.
  • Ability to interact with staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand/walk up to 20% of the shift.
  • Lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Must be able to frequently bend and twist and have unrestricted use of upper extremities.
