Human Resources Coordinator Job at Nemacolin Woodlands
Position Summary:
The Human Resources Coordinator will help facilitate all basic Human Resources functions. This position demands an individual who can exercise a great deal of independent judgment and who can effectively perform personal workflow management. This position is responsible for supporting the efforts of the Human Resources Department in the day-to-day operation while performing diversified duties in the administration of the Human Resources function to include but not limited to associate engagement events, benefits & compliance, HRIS, onboarding new hires, and workers compensation.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure the delivery of service within Human Resources is consistent with our Own Every Moment core values and 5 Star Service philosophy by providing quality, timely and effective assistance with associate questions, issues, and concerns.
- Manage assigned human resources functions consistent with the overall strategic plan and vision for the department.
- Oversee and coordinate all Associate Engagement Events.
- Schedule interviews, coordinate travel/create itineraries, conduct pre-employment processes, launch and ensure completion of onboarding processes, and coordinate enrollment in Taking Flight.
- Assist with the International Program when necessary by getting paperwork and documents required to obtain seasonal international associates on an annual basis (H2B, J-1, etc.).
- Provide administrative support and oversight of the HR office operation to include inventory/ordering of office supplies, prioritizing/scheduling appointments, answering calls for the department, etc.
- Provide guidance to line-level associates & managers relative to policies and procedures, benefits and recruitment as appropriate.
- Assist in the areas of HRIS & Compliance to include employment requirements, wage verification, unemployment responses, ACA-related activity, introductory reviews, and HR file maintenance.
- Assist with leave administration to include coordination and designation of appropriate leave (FMLA, Personal, Military, Workers Comp, etc.), payroll & benefits processing, and on-going communication as needed with associates.
- Assist with benefits administration to include customer service, enrollment, and the coordination of all benefit and wellness programs and health fairs on property.
- Approve Paid Time Off requests in the web portal (personal, vacation, holiday).
- Enter 401(k) deductions for newly hired or enrolled associates into HRIS.
- Maintain associate referral program and ensure proper, timely pay-outs.
- Administer bus pass program for the property.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Associate’s degree in Business or a related discipline or two years of experience in Human Resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in customer service.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently on a variety of concurrent projects.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Must be able to speak English.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
