Contract:
Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 based on experience
Length: 260 days (12 Months)

Job Summary:
This position coordinates the human resource functions for the Adel DeSoto Minburn School District regarding policy development, assisting the Business Services Department and supervisors in their human resource endeavors.

Responsibilties:

• Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal personnel requirements and reporting
• Review and update employee handbooks, job descriptions, and employee evaluation systems
• Review and update human resource related School Board Policies
• Coordinate electronic application process and review advertising and posting of open positions
• Review and improve new hire orientation/on-boarding and employee off-boarding process
• Facilitate employee training and continuous improvement efforts
• Review yearly staffing lists and contracts for accuracy
• Perform new employee orientation
• Ensure employee compliance regarding annual trainings
• Assist Payroll with hourly employee verification
• Actively support all supervisors in personnel issues
• Other duties as assigned by the Business Manager

  Apply knowledge of current research and theory in the Human Resource field
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and school community
• Demonstrate effective communication by speaking clearly and concisely both in oral and written formats
• Perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies
• Apply technology to the position to make it more efficent and effective

Qualifications:

• Prefer candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • Relevant work experience may be submitted
• Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
• Demonstrated knowledge of school district structure, human resources, and operations
