POSITION SUMMARY:

ESI is looking for an HR Manager for our client in Palm City, FL. The Human Resources Manager works under the general direction of the Chief Financial Officer to fulfill the overall human resources, payroll and employee relations function of the organization located at various locations. Our Human Resources Manager undertakes a wide range of HR tasks, to include supporting employee relations, administering employee benefits, processing payroll and crafting and enforcing HR policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 3 + years of HR management experience.
  • SHRM-CP a plus.
  • Strong understanding of HR policies and HRIS.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recommends improvements to HR systems, policies and procedures as needed, as part of the Human Resource strategies that are aligned with organization/objectives and values.
  • Process biweekly payroll using third party payroll provider.
  • Manage and maintain the company's personnel files, keeping them current and maintaining compliance with federal, state and local requirements for privacy and security.
  • Assists in maintaining and updating the Employee Handbook.
  • Manage and maintain benefits programs; work with 3rd party vendors, requiring understanding to comply with federal and state mandated requirements.
  • Collaborates with management to create, review and update position descriptions and organization chart.
  • Manage the entire recruitment and hiring process including but not limited to: posting open positions, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, scheduling drug testing and background screening, coordinate new hire orientation, administer employee policies, and benefits.
  • Manage employee separation activities, including notices, benefits, and organizational property retrieval. Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations to leadership as needed.
  • Coordinates with approved HR vendors providing employee services, like background checks/drug screenings, recruitment services and payroll companies. Helps identify and vet out new vendors.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain and keep the company's policies and procedures up to date and known by staff.
  • Stay up to date with current HR laws and ethics – working directly with CFO to assess impact and integration into the organization.
  • Counsel and mentor management team on employee relation matters.
  • Coordinates organization-wide employee and/or supervisory training on HR-related topics, e.g., harassment/EEOC, diversity, safety, performance reviews, interviewing, etc.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of department and services performed
  • Facilitating progressive disciplinary actions, grievances and investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with state and national regulations, applicable employment related laws including but not limited to Fair Labor Standards (FLSA), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) .
  • Manages emergency preparedness processes, to include conducting annual training sessions for employees.
  • Assist in evaluation process for employee performance results, including salary review process, compensation benchmarking and recommending revisions.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Flexibility to work extra hours and attend meetings and meet deadlines as necessary.
